ENERGY company TotalEnergies is the latest firm to be confirmed as one of the host port sponsors for this summer’s Tall Ships Races. The company will be providing volunteers from within its own staff to help deliver the event, which stops in Lerwick from 26-29 July.

STORNOWAY musical sensations Peat & Diesel have been unveiled as the second main headliner for this summer’s Tall Ships Races in Lerwick.

Shetland Tall Ships Ltd is inviting applications from traders who would like to sell goods at the Tall Ships Races event in Lerwick this summer. Stall spaces will be made available at Albert Wharf and Holmsgarth for the sale of goods, or for the promotion of a business or organisation.

Top Scottish instrumental folk group, The Peatbog Faeries; Shetland's own Fiddler's Bid and The Revellers; and a New Orleans-style brass band are among the first music acts to be announced as part of the amazing music line-up for this summer's Tall Ships event in Lerwick.

THERE is still time for anyone interested in being a volunteer at the Tall Ships this summer to get involved. Shetland Tall Ships Ltd. is still looking to recruit VIP liaison officers, stewards, marshals and event information advisors for the four-day event, running from 26-29 July.

SHETLAND Tall Ships Ltd has appointed Grampian Training Services to provide first aid cover at this summer’s four-day event in Lerwick. There are currently no commercial first aid services available in the islands following a decision by the Red Cross to discontinue its provision a few years ago.

ONE of the key players in Shetland’s marine industry, Ocean Kinetics, has been confirmed as a sponsor for next summer’s Tall Ships event in Lerwick.

SEVERAL Scottish locations have been confirmed as guest harbours for a 2023 Cruise in Company event ahead of next summer’s Tall Ships Races arriving in Lerwick.

A DELEGATION from Shetland Tall Ships Ltd recently attended the Sail Training International conference in Las Palmas to present plans for the event in Lerwick next summer.
