Scores of young people from Shetland and Scotland will come together as part of their preparations for participating in this summer’s Tall Ships races. In total 100 trainees will be involved in the international event, which stops off in Lerwick for four days at the end of July.
The organisers of next month’s Tall Ships Races visit to Lerwick are appealing for anyone interested in volunteering to come forward and fill the last few remaining vacancies. Thousands of folk are expected to congregate in the town for the four-day event, which runs between 26-29 July.
