Tenacious has a homeport in Southampton, UK, and is the largest wooden ship of her kind in the world.
The Class A, Barque 3 was launched in 2000 and has access throughout for disabled crew.
Weighing 586 tonnes; the royal blue, wooden hull measures 54 metres from the total length of 66.56 metres including the bowsprit.
Tenacious can accommodate 39 trainees and 9 crew. With powered lifts and wide, flat decks, the ship has a speaking compass for use by blind crew and a bright track radar for those partially sighted. There is also an induction loop installed and vibrating alarms for the hard-of-hearing.
The ship is owned by the UK based charity, Jubilee Sailing Trust.
